Come Full Circle, II
Original acrylic and ink painting on a raw birch slice, part of the Folk School's One Tree project.
This piece features a departed field mouse on a bed of fall leaves, pierced by a golden arrowhead. Notice how the arrow is a living cranberry branch full of juicy berries.

About the One Tree Project //
The One Tree porject is a partnership between The Folk School and OneTree Alaska, a program of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In the summer of 2009, both organizations collaborated on the original “OneTree” program; selecting and felling a birch for use by community artists, makers, teachers, and scientists. The projects seeks to involve community members in drawing inspiration from and utilizing every bit of a single birch tree, which was located on The Folk School’s property.
