Make sure your website is mobile-optimized.

Most businesses build their websites for desktop. But you need to ensure your website works great and looks beautiful on mobile, as well. If a visitor can't view or navigate your site easily, they're going to leave and find your competitor.

The best thing you can do for your online presence is to build your website for your audience. Your audience is on mobile. Your website is in their pocket.

Here's a peek at my own website visitors for the past 90 days:

Based on this graph, 439 visitors are on mobile and 11 visitors on tablet, versus 314 on desktop.

In researching the #dreamclient companies that I wanted to send my Look Book to, I found that many of them did not have a mobile or tablet-friendly site. It makes me wonder, how many sales or connections are they missing simply because their website is not mobile-optimized…?

If you have a business website, the best thing you can do right now is prioritize making it mobile-friendly.
