It's a Pattern Party over here!
Pattern design uniquely blends fine art and illustration with design. It’s a marriage of both worlds, so, of course I’m all in. It started with my obsession of paper, specifically wrapping paper. With some prompting from some dedicated fans and supports, I realized I could repurpose my wrapping paper pattern designs as fabrics and wallpaper, through Spoonflower.com.
I enrolled in an online course in 2023 to learn more about the surface design industry, make some connections, and begin my journey toward 100 patterns (#goals!). I learned SO MUCH, and am finding myself inspired to turn ALL THE THINGS into patterns. It’s a bit ridiculous.
What is Spoonflower?
Spoonflower is an online print-on-demand resource for wallpaper, home decor and fabric, all designed by independent artists around the world, and with eco-friendly printing.
Through Spoonflower, I am able to upload my pattern designs and make them available for sale to quilters, crafters, interior decorators, and DIYers.
