Woven in the Waves
For the owner, Woven in the Waves isn’t just a title. It has always conjured a visual of a woman in the tidelands, waiting for the waves to transform her again and again. Woven in the Waves is a state of being, a commitment to submitting to the unpredictable nature of the ocean and its capabilities. The forged and fiber jewelry are created from a space of feeling, centered around mental health.

Logo Process
Through our discovery session, we talked about how the ocean and waves smooth out broken and shattered things, raw and jagged pieces, and it was essential for the logo to represent how one can heal through the arts.
While we explored many concepts, I gravitated toward an oyster shell for it's symbolism of transformation, of turning something rough and hard into something beautiful and valuable. The details of the shell were stylized to also look like undulating waves.
The mark is encircled with a rope, representing the micromacrame jewelry, and is also a nod to the maker's original logo.
The concept chosen is unique and the art is 100% original.
Color + Type
The brand colors embrace that beautiful intersection of land and sea.
The main typography is classic with elements of Art Deco. The display typography, used sparingly, is clean and clear with a throwback nautical vibe. Together they help the logo feel timeless.
Illustration
Initially created as logo concepts, I refined these ideas into usable illustrations to help tell the Woven in the Waves story. These elements bring a very artistic and handmade approach to the visual identity.
Print Goods
Wanting the presentation of the jewelry to be on the next level, the explored professionally designed and printed business cards, earring cards, and a postcard to tell her story and connect with her customers.
To finalize the elevated experience of the jewelry, we expanded into a custom printed tissue paper, branded repeating patterns, and gold foil sticker.
"Brianna was instrumental in helping me find my voice for my business. A good graphic designer doesn't just make you a logo, they invest in you and listen to your story and I don't think I could have done all this without her. She's a gem!"
